Subway Series Starts Tonight In The Bronx

By MICHAEL ROSNER

The New York Yankees are looking for revenge against their cross town rivals The New York Mets after being swept at home last year. Both teams are coming into the game on losing streaks at the hands of their division rivals, The Boston Red Sox and Philadelphia Phillies.

The pitching match-up for the opener will be Joba Chamberlain 3-1 for the Yankees vs. Livan Hernandez 5-1 for the Mets. Both teams start the subway series second place in their divisions. The big question for the Mets who have 37 home runs last in the majors, can they score with the potent lineup of the Yankees. There have been a 105 homers hit in Yankee Stadium this year, tops in baseball.
